I wish this blog post could be all calm and pretty and totally lovely like other authors do when they announce that their book sold. But who am I kidding? My hands are shaking. My heart is pounding. And all I want to do is get back on twitter and see all of the lovely things that people are saying, maybe wipe my teary eyes a few times, and keep on saying "This can't be real...this can't be real!"
So. Here's why!
My book, THE MURDER COMPLEX, sold to Greenwillow!!!
**commence happy dancing***
Here's the PM announcement, or you can visit it online here because it's so tiny my eyes hurt, and I literally cried a little when I saw it. It can't be real. It can't!!
An, apparently, some invisible angel of a person made my book goodreads official. So you can now add it to your TBR, if you feel like it.
I've always been OBSESSED with Harper Collins, and all of their amazing books! But I never thought it would be ME that would get to end up there...and at my favorite imprint ever. Greenwillow. Sigh. It makes my heart sprout little butterfly wings and soar :)
I'm going to be published with authors I have been fan-girling over for years. Like Leah Clifford, Bethany Griffin, David McGinnis Gill, Rae Carson, Cindy Pon, Leah Cypess, Heather Dixon...and so much more.
Thank you to Virginia at Greenwillow for believing in my little book. Thank you to all the authors who made me feel like with hard work and determination, it WAS possible. Thank you to my agent who went above and beyond to make this book shine, and thank you to every single blogger out there who keeps fueling my passion for books! And of course, to Gary Paulsen who wrote Hatchet---the book that made me want to write! And another thing. To all of my health problems- I DEFEATED YOU WITH BOOKS!
