A few months ago, I got in touch with author Fiona Paul from Paper Lantern Lit and Philomel/Penguin, and told her how excited I was about her upcoming release, VENOM. Seriously though, I agree about the font. They really nailed the mix of fun and flirty with ornate and fancy. And that scary mist off to the side...oooooooooooooooooooooh it whispers of dark and mysterious things...

ReplyDeleteIt IS a beautiful cover, but I don't like photographic covers in general. (It's crotchety, I know, but I like to leave how the characters look to the imagination.)

ReplyDeleteI love the look of that! I've always been a sucker for the masquerade masks, and this one is absolutely stunning. The font and the color scheme are absolutely perfect for it. The whole thing just seems so very mysterious and elegant. Definitely adding it to my TBR pile.
