Waiting On Wednesday!!

Dark EdenToday, I am going to do my best to spread the word on my awesome and talented friend Patrick Carman's (author of 13 Days to Midnight, Skeleton Creek, the 39 Clues, Atherton, The Land of Elyon, and Trackers) upcoming YA novel DARK EDEN. I was lucky enough to find an ARC of this one at Powell's in Portland, OR, and had the blessing of meeting Patrick in person at Wordstock a few weeks ago. He is awesome, and as I have jumped into the first chapters of his book, (and I'm not just saying this because Patrick rocks, but because I know a good goosebumpy book when I see one) I'm finding that it, too, is seriously awesome. It's creepy and dark, hence the title...and books that are dark, in my little world, are seriously awesome.  :)

DARK EDEN releases Nov 1 by Harper Collin's Childrens! Add it to your TBR list on Goodreads by clicking on the book cover above, and be sure to follow Patrick on twitter for the latest info on all things Dark Eden!

Summary:
Fifteen-year-old Will Besting is sent by his doctor to Fort Eden, an institution meant to help patients suffering from crippling phobias. Once there, Will and six other teenagers take turns in mysterious fear chambers and confront their worst nightmares—with the help of the group facilitator, Rainsford, an enigmatic guide. When the patients emerge from the chamber, they feel emboldened by the previous night's experiences. But each person soon discovers strange, unexplained aches and pains. . . . What is really happening to the seven teens trapped in this dark Eden?

Patrick Carman's Dark Eden is a provocative exploration of fear, betrayal, memory, and— ultimately—immortality.

So...it's Wednesday...what are YOU waiting on?!

TeenShiverDon't forget to stop by my author group, TEEN SHIVER, where my friend Joy Preble is giving away signed copies of her upcoming release!

  12. Okay this may sound horrible but I've never read anything by Patrick Carman including the 39 Clues...I know I'm soooo ashamed. Anyway I'll be sure to read this one because I love the cover and the symposis but I get scared REALLY easily so I hope it won't be too creepy...
