I have brown hair now!! & Follow Friday! What's your FAV book?!

Welcome to my stop on the hop! Today, I want to know...WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOK OF 2011 SO FAR!? Books you're looking forward to? Tell me in the comments!

Here's mine:

If you haven't read this book yet and you love action, romance, and zombie-like villains, then you should TOTALLY go pick it up at your local bookstore! :) I promise it will not disappoint, although you may get a little sad once you finish. The sequel doesn't release for awhile!

Here's a few things about me so my new followers can get to know me a little! :) I'm announcing the fact that I, a lifetime blonde, have gone brunette. Crazy, right?

And this is )(urley, my german shepherd/writing assistant.
And Delirium, my favorite novel by the wonderful Lauren Oliver.

Tell me a little bit about YOU in the comments! :)

  5. I've heard of this book. It sounds really good. My favorite book of this year is The Vampire Stalker by Allison van Diepen. It might change once I catch up on reading books from this year. I loved the premise of this book.

  17. Hey. Thanks for stopping by my blog. It's great that you are having fun with your hair. Must be fun to go for the Katniss look. When I was in 3rd grade I tried to dye my hair red so I could be like Anne of Green Gables. Ha ha. My hair is so dark it was very amusing. Great hearing from you and can't wait to read more from you. Keep it shiny!

  22. I agree with you I loved Enclave it was probably the first Dystopian I liked. I can't wait for the second to come out a year is a long time though. :( I'm always happy to meet fellow Texans. I think I've probably said that before. Most of them live down in south Texas. Your dog is adorable I've always wanted a big dog like a German Shepard.

  24. Fav book of 2011? I don't know!! I don't have one too many to choose from! Sorry...Thanks for stopping by the blog!! I'm following you too. :P

    ReplyDelete
  25. Thanks for the blog visit! Following you as well.

Enclave started strong, but I was disappointed by how the plot developed...I'm not a Stalker fan. If I had to pick one book for 2011 - so far - it would have to be Divergent. (But Hounded by Kevin Hearne is right up there, too...)

  26. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier. I haven't read this one, though I know people who have and enjoyed it.

  28. Hi thanks for stopping by! I am a new follower :)

My favourite book so far of this year ... hmm that's a hard one .. the book that springs to mind is Virtuosity by Jessica Martinez but that *might* only be because it's the most recent in my mind.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Favorite books I probably Blood Red Road, but Divergent is right behind. And there are a few others that I gave 5/5 ratings.

    Have a great week!

  30. So far my fave read of 2011 is The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. Loved it. The brown hair suits you!

    Happy weekend.

  31. Your hair looks great, but I'm a brunette and HATE it, it's so boring! But it looks good on others, so maybe it's just boring on me, lol. I do dye mine red (different variations) several times a year though.
My favorite book this year... You know, it's hard to say. I did LOVE Delirium, but I actually read it last year. I loved The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima, River of Time series by Lisa Bergren, OH! It's adult UF but I LOVED The Iron Druid series by Kevin Hearne. So many good ones this year!

    Thanks for hopping by!

  33. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I enjoyed Enclave as well. I'm not sure what my favorite book has been, but the one that made me the most emotional was Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma.

Hope you enjoy being a brunette, and have a great weekend!

  34. lots of good book reccs I'm adding to my list!

  35. Thanks for the follow!

I'm ashamed to say I haven't read *any* 2011 releases at all, as I'm a poor college student with no money, no time, and extremely limited access to a library. I'll have to do some reading and let you know, though it's hard to find a book that doesn't have any vampires or dystopia...Any historical fiction released this year? :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. I kind of like the darker hair. It makes your eyes pop. Your doggie is so cute, look at him cocking his head.

I do have Enclave, I haven't gotten to it yet. New follower!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Wow! you look great! very Katniss-like :D

I haven't read Enclaved or Dellirium but they both went up in my to-read list!

    have a great friday!

  38. Favourite book so far has been Demon's Surrender, you have to read it in one sitting, otherwise you won't get any sleep.

I'm most looking to reading The Wolves of Mercy Falls series. I know they're all out already, but I'm behind and a friend of mine raves how great they are.

Thanks for stopping by, I'm following you back now :)

  41. I never heard of enclave but I have it open on Amazon as we speak to take a look at it.

Hrm..my favorite book of 2011. I have read sooo many great books this year it's hard to choose. Shift (Shade #2) by Jeri Smith-Ready really hit me hard in both good ways and in crying ways.

Thanks for the follow! Following ya back :)

  42. Love the new look, I am a live time brunette and love it.

As far as my favorite book so far, that is super hard for me, I have read 88 books so far in 2011. I don't think I could pick one favorite but some of the best so far have been Fire by Kristin Cashore, If I Stay by Gale Forman, Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Pegasus by Robin McKinley and Broken Chords by Barbara Snow Gilbert. hahah see?! I couldn't pick one!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Aww, you look so pretty as a brunette, Lindsay! :) It suits you!

My favourite book of 2011? That's a really hard one! There are so many great books that came out this year that I just can't choose! Some of my all-time favourites are The Hunger Games and The Mortal Instruments. But I also love Wither, Divergent, Unearthly and so many more awesome titles!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm an old follower, of course! :)

  44. Old follower stopping through! Let's see. I think that the best book I've read this year is probably a tie between Divergent by Veronica Roth and Blood Red Road by Moira Young. I've seen Enclave around, but I haven't picked it up yet. It's now on my TBR list that never seems to stop growing!

  45. Thanks for stopping by!

This is a tough question...I think it would have to be either The Restorer by Amanda Stevens or Divergent by Veronica Roth. Both are tremendous reads!

  49. Loved Delirium- have you read Before I Fall by Oliver? I've heard of Enclave and it's on my TBR list. Love the brown hair. I've always been a brunette...when I get bored, I dye my hair red. I attempted to go blonde once. It wasn't my best look.
