What is Populazzi, you ask? Here's the description from Goodreads:

My Review:

Overall, Populazzi was just a SUPER FUN read! When the story starts out, you get to know Cara, this insecure curly-haired girl starting out at a new highschool...and she has a best friend that practically shoves her towards a wild attempt at gaining popularity in a place where no one knows her. It's a fresh start. Something every highschool kid, probably EVER, has wanted.

At first, I had a big problem with Cara---I was in highschool a few years ago, and there was always "that group" ---the popular kids who treated everyone else like they...we...were smelly animals at a zoo. I didn't get why Cara (or her best friend) would want to become that type of person. 

Towards the middle of the book, though, I realized Cara is just like every other kid in highschool. Desperate to fit in, be cool, and make a name for herself. This book does a great job of translating real life to quirky, fun fiction, and I found myself smiling at some of the cute little lines. Cara has a great personality, and I think lots of girls reading YA can totally relate to her character!

If you like fun books, a little bit of romance, humor, and just plain highschool drama, then Populazzi is the book for you!
