(LATE) Blog about Your DOG! :)

Hey readers! I was a little under the weather on Monday, PLUS my blog was getting a gorgeous makeover! =]
So here's the belated Blog about Your Dog post!
Today's picture is of Biscuit, Hurley's best friend who lives across the street! These two play every week, and I thought this shot was beyond adorable.
LOOK AT THOSE EARS! OMG!!
And because I love my Hurley, I have to add a picture of her looking rabid while I tried to get a nice, candid shot in the snow....It didn't work out.

This week, Hurley got into a bottle of vitamins...and a bag of giant marshmallows...and a costco-sized box of chocolate chip granola squares...and a roll of paper towels...and my shoes...and a bag of chocolate frosted donuts....she is also currently BLUE, because she got into the paint that we are redoing our kitchen with..is it possible she's WORSE than Marley?! Yes. But do I love her? YES!!

So today, I want to hear your CRAZY stories about your dogs/cats/horses/goats/squirrels saved from the lawnmower/etc.

  1. HAHA, you're Hurley sounds like my Duke. He just turned a year old, and I swear he is a mixture of every crazy breed of dog out there, lol. He's like having a toddler b/c he's constantly into something....shredding boxes, toilet paper rolls, paper towels, etc, trying to "degut' throw pillows, nosing through the trash. He's like 30lbs of pure Meth Head or something, lol. But he's a great bed buddy at night because he loves to burrow under the covers. And he has the sweetest personality. I wuvs him much!!

Your pic of Hurley and Biscuit makes me think of Duke and my other dog, Chance. They get along really great, but sometimes when they play, they get all rabid, acting like when Old Yeller went bad!! LOL

  2. Hey Lindsay! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

Yours is GORGEOUS! I love the scrolling and grey and black! It's Fab, girly!

I also love Hurley, he's a cutie patootie! I love all animals---I am an animal lover from the word go and they always love me. I think they sense that we love them.

I have one big German Shepard/Rottie/Lab mix and he's the sweetest thing. He's by his Momma all the time and his name is Bear but he's also Bear Butt, Bubbalouie, Boobala, Momma's baby, etc... he answeres to all of the above, LOL!

I'm glad your enjoying him! I'm dong the LLGH, too! Should be fun. This is my second one and I've already forgotten all the crap I have to do! So, better get busy!
    Talk to you soon!

  6. What cute dogs! My dog Pluto (red nose pitbull) had gotten hold of my daughter's pillow pet one morning. I was in my closet changing when I heard my daughter screaming so, terrified, I ran out to see what happened. Pluto was sitting in the living amidst a literal SEA of cotton stuffing. It was EVERYWHERE, and he sat there looking at us with that 'I did nothing :D' look. I cracked up. My daughter was not so amused.

  8. He sounds like a handful, but we love our dogs, don't we? I have a mini dach named Bridgy, and we call her an angel dog because she "knows" when people need comfort and will seek them out and sit by (or on) them.

  11. Hi, Lindsay! First, I want to thank you for checking out my blog and becoming a follower. Your's is beautiful, and well, needless to say, I'm now following you. =)

Secondly, while I'm here, I must share a story about my beloved dog, Dally. She's just a puppy, and we haven't had her long, but she's a lot like your Hurley--- into EVERYTHING! Lol. As soon as I turn my back, she has all of my clothes out of my dirty clothes hamper strode around the room, chewing on them. She has also previously gotten into my new shoes and chewed holes, straps in half, and soles off (how does that happen?). Then, as if that's not enough, her new collar, which is tightly secured around her neck---where she cannot get her mouth in between it and her neck--- is chewed in two. I don't know how she did that, but oh well, right? I still love her regardless of the mess she makes. She's my baby!

Anyway, I can't wait to see what else you have in store! Talk to you soon.

Cat story: Years ago, my daughter and I had a cat named Chloe...a lilac point Siamese. She and I were very, very close. I adored her. My DD was in college. Chloe was pregnant, by our choice, for the first time. I set up a "birthing room" for her (so spoiled, right?) in one of our bathrooms. We lived in an antique Victorian & the bathroom was cozy w/a clawfoot tub...just a darling place to give birth to kittens we thought! I made a box shelter complete with cushion and blanket overhang. Well, the vet had told me not to worry if I wasn't at home when Chloe went into labor because she would wait for me to get there before she delivered, which I really didn't believe.
She did wait!! DD and I came home one day and Chloe met us yawelling. She led us up to her birthing room! We couldn't believe it. She got into her birthing box...I'm still not believing it. I talking calmingly to her, petted her, then backed out of the room to give her space to birth. When I did that she yewalled at me top voice and left her box. No way was she having kittens without me!! OMG!! So, she and I birthed those 5 kittens. And, for 10 weeks she would not let me out of her sight or out of the nearness to her and her kittens! I literally had to put them all, including Chloe into a huge basket, covered and laid with blankets, and had to carry them from room to room with me, or she would bring them each one and drop them in my lap if I didn't!!! Moral of this story: I'm never giving birth to kittens again!
